programs:
- Adobe Photoshop CS2: Everyone says this is the best graphics tool out there, and they're absolutely right.
- 3D Studio Max 9.0: For all of my 3D/abstract attempts.
- Microsoft Notepad: The most basic and most handy coding program.
- WS FTP LE: An ftp client. It's very simple to use, and therefore, highly recommended.
- FTP Navigator: Another FTP client, but this one's freeware.
graphic resources:
- Squidfingers: He makes wonderfully unique patterns, and lots of them.
- Aethereality Gallery: Ivy's gallery is huge. There's a fortune in artbook scans waiting here.
- Glimpse Image Archive: An image gallery that contained quite a few animanga artbooks. It's either closed or relocated now, but I do use images from it sometimes (all credited, of course), so I keep this item here.
- Impressions Image Gallery: Yet another animanga image gallery. The scans are all very big, so you can do what you want with the image.
- Celestial Star Gallery: In addition to having high-quality scans of popular images, this gallery also features images by lesser known artists that are difficult to find anywhere else (I like the Favole gallery especially).
- stockXchng: Possibily the biggest and best site for stock photos.
scripts:
- phpMyAdmin: Without this script, one would be stuck coding all those database-driven pages by hand. It's especially recommended for graphic sites, or those with lots of archived content.
- Dynamic Drive: Provides many varied DHTML scripts.
- DHTML Shock: Even more DHTML scripts.
- Kali's Tagboard: An easy to customize tagboard script.
articles:
- A List Apart: The best site for discussions about coding. Everything's very clear, and they have very high writing standards so you know that everything you read is going to be good.
- Daydream Graphics: A huge site that contains layouts, avators, and tutorials. It's their tutorial database I found most useful, though; it helped me with mySQL and PHP.
