the webmistress

I first took an interest in web design in the summer of 2003. The next year I got Photoshop. Then it all really took off.

I like to think my designs are unique, because they oftentimes feature darker, more subdued themes, and usually aren't affected at all by trends. (Being as I can't be bothered to keep up with them.) Also, I don't ever use third-party resources, aside from image galleries, because I like to personalize everything I create. So for that reason they are technically individual as well as stylistically.

Every layout is tested in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and usually Opera, and 9 times out of 10 the HTML and CSS are validated by W3's standards. No layout is offered that cannot be viewed comfortably in 800x600 resolution. I try to make all the contents of my site usable by everybody.

And that's a basic overview of how I work. For more personal information, please visit my blog.
